Clinical Outcomes Summary
In a multi center clinical study involving leading ENT and gastroenterology centers, the Reza Band demonstrated an 86% success rate in reducing LPR symptoms. Physicians reported 92% satisfaction with the device's ability to provide a non-pharmacological solution for patients who are non-responsive to traditional acid-suppression therapy. The device is safe, non-invasive, and effective for nightly mechanical reinforcement of the UES.

UES Pressure Visualizer

The Reza Band applies targeted external pressure to the cricoid cartilage, reinforcing the Upper Esophageal Sphincter to stop the physical backflow of acid and pepsin.

How It Works

The UES is a muscular ring at the top of the esophagus. In LPR patients, it fails to maintain adequate closure—especially during sleep when muscles naturally relax.

The Reza Band applies 20–30 mmHg of external pressure to the cricoid cartilage, reinforcing the UES barrier. This is roughly half the pressure of a buttoned shirt collar.

Target Zone: 20–30 mmHg

Clinical studies confirmed this range effectively augments intraluminal UES pressure and significantly reduces esophago-pharyngeal reflux events.

Breathing & swallowing remain completely unaffected at therapeutic pressure levels.
Most patients adjust within 4–5 days of initial use.
Worn during sleep only—when the UES naturally relaxes and reflux risk is highest.
